The Seeker stories of Nvard are based in part on ancient Armenian myth & legends of the Near East. According to ancient Near Eastern legend Nvard was the beloved wife of Ara the Fair, legendary first king of Armenia around the time of the Tower Of Babel and the Biblical division of the Sons of Noah through out the world.
