I started off this drawing with no idea where it was going. The wood grain pattern of my cedar chest looked like feathers; and I was working on another drawing at the time with feathers in it so this was just suppose to be practice to loosen me up.... They are proud. They do not easily change. Old ways, traditions . . .

speak of the Ancient Ones, The Ananazi and the time before is taboo.

Eagle Cloud Woman visions have shown her the most ancient of times. Strong visions
have shown her the future. The Great Creator has revealed to her in vision the
face of a false creator. He is a prankster, a chief of liars, a deceiver, a pretender.
She Has Seen The Deceiver he and his spirits are the ones the people will come to follow in the terrible time of testing to come. He will speak and his words will tickle their ears. He will tell the what they wish to hear. He will show them only what they want to see.
His Bad Medicine Is Strong.
His words taste sweet like the bee honey. His words will prove to be a slow bitter
poison that may rob the people completely of what they have left of the oldest
of knowledge of true sight.
Knowledge from before the time of the Ancestors. The Ancient Ancestors that lived before even the older ancestors, before the Anazazi. White Eagle Cloud Woman sees how the people will grow even blinder. Their vision will become more and more twisted and broken.
Just
as the earth around them is dying so too their true sight.
She Must Speak! But in her vision she has already seen they will only listen a little.
In the end, the people hear and see only what they expect to see! The false one will do all that he can to make sure of that.
But he will be defeated! There is in this world a stronger medicine. Though the deceiver has the louder voice and is much more visible to the people ... White Eagle Cloud Woman's true vision is incomplete but she has seen this as well. She knows it for truth.
